Is moissanite a real stone?

Yes — moissanite is a completely real gemstone with its own unique chemical composition (silicon carbide). It was first discovered in 1893 by Nobel Prize-winning chemist Henri Moissan in a meteor crater in Arizona. Today, moissanite is grown in laboratories under conditions that replicate its natural formation, resulting in a stone of extraordinary purity and brilliance. It is not a diamond simulant — it is its own category of precious gemstone.

How does moissanite compare to diamond?

Moissanite surpasses diamond in several key properties. Its refractive index of 2.65 (vs. diamond's 2.42) means it produces more fire and brilliance — the rainbow flashes of light that make fine jewelry so captivating. In terms of hardness, moissanite scores 9.25 on the Mohs scale compared to diamond's 10, making it the second hardest gemstone on earth. The primary difference is that moissanite is lab-created, making it conflict-free and significantly more accessible.

Will moissanite look different from diamond to the naked eye?

To the naked eye, moissanite and diamond are virtually indistinguishable. In fact, moissanite's superior brilliance often makes it appear more dazzling. The only way to tell them apart is with specialized gemological equipment. Many jewelers cannot identify moissanite without testing, as it even fools standard diamond testers.

Will moissanite get cloudy or lose its sparkle over time?

No. Unlike some other gemstones, moissanite does not cloud, scratch, or lose its brilliance over time. Its hardness (9.25 Mohs) means it resists scratching from everyday wear. With normal care, your moissanite will look exactly the same in 50 years as it does today. This is why we offer a lifetime warranty on every stone.

Wearing & Care

Can I wear my ring in the shower?

Yes, moissanite itself is completely water-resistant and will not be damaged by water. However, we recommend removing your jewelry before showering to prevent soap and shampoo buildup, which can dull the setting over time. Chlorine in swimming pools can also affect certain metal finishes, so we advise removing jewelry before swimming.

Will my ring tarnish?

Our rings are crafted in solid 925 sterling silver with a rhodium plating, or in 14k/18k gold vermeil. Rhodium-plated silver is highly resistant to tarnish. Over years of wear, the rhodium plating may gradually wear in high-contact areas, which is normal and can be replated by any jeweler. Gold vermeil pieces are similarly durable. We recommend storing your jewelry in the provided dust bag when not wearing it to minimize exposure to air and moisture.

How do I clean my moissanite ring?

The simplest method is warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush. Gently scrub the stone and setting, rinse thoroughly, and dry with the included polishing cloth. You can also use an ultrasonic cleaner — moissanite is one of the few gemstones that can safely be cleaned this way. Avoid harsh chemicals such as bleach or acetone.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Standard international shipping takes 7–14 business days. Express shipping (3–5 business days) is available at checkout. All orders are shipped with tracking and require a signature upon delivery for security.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes — we offer complimentary standard shipping on all orders over ₪500. Orders under this threshold are charged a flat shipping rate. Express shipping is available for an additional fee regardless of order value.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy on all unworn, unaltered items in their original packaging. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we will arrange a return. Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days of receiving the returned item. Custom-sized or engraved pieces are final sale.
