Moissanite is hard — 9.25 on the Mohs scale — so the stone itself resists scratching in everyday wear. The metal is a different matter: metals tarnish, and finishes wear with time and contact. We can't tell you a piece will look identical in ten years, let alone fifty. This page is how to slow it down.

Cleaning Your Jewelry
The Warm Soap Method (Recommended)
Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water. Use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the stone and setting. Rinse thoroughly under warm running water and dry with a soft lint-free cloth. Repeat monthly or whenever the stone looks dull.
Ultrasonic Cleaner (Safe for Moissanite)
Unlike diamonds, moissanite can safely be cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. This is the most effective method for removing built-up oils and residue from the setting. Use with plain water or a jewelry-safe solution.
Never Use These
Bleach, acetone, toothpaste, baking soda, or any abrasive cleaner. These can damage plated finishes and dull the metal over time.
Storage
Store each piece individually in the provided dust bag or the original gift box. This prevents scratching from contact with other jewelry. Keep away from direct sunlight and humidity when storing for extended periods.
For long-term storage (months), place a small anti-tarnish strip in the box to protect your pieces.
Caring for the Finish
Everyday Wear
Tarnish and finish wear are normal with time and contact, especially in high-contact areas. Any jeweler can clean or refresh a piece for a minimal cost.
Water and Perfume
Avoid prolonged exposure to water, perfume, and cosmetics to keep the finish looking its best for longer.
